August 3 – November 3, 2009
The learning curve is steep, the key commands are complex, the page count is long–that is why you are here.
The MNtor Program is a four-month mentoring program designed to fertilize the career growth and professional success of emerging graphic designers. Starting with a kick-off event on August 3, mentors and mentees will come together and work hand-in-hand to identify the mentee’s career goals and aspiritions. Over the next four months, mentors will provide advice and guidance as they show their mentees the ropes.
The MNtor Program is designed for self-starters. After the kick-off event, we won’t dictate meeting times or schedules—those are up to you. You’ll set your own schedule, forge your own experience, and build a relationship that can last for years to come. What we will do is provide a solid starting point for a great relationship and along the way, and frequently update you with plenty of great tips and suggestions.

KICK-OFF EVENT
This is where you get to meet and sit-down to create your game plan.
You’ll get to know each other, develop a schedule of meeting times, set expectations and goals for the next four months. When, where and how often you meet and what you do is completely up to you. Once a week or three times a month? Both sound great! Go out to lunch, have coffee, catch a lecture, visit another design studio, or attend a client meeting? Fantastic!
Parking:
Available in the open-air lot immediately next to Gluek’s at Hennepin Avenue and 6th Street. Entrance is on 6th street. See map and directions.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Brent Swanson, MNtor Program Chair, at MNtorProgram@minnesota.aiga.org
