Jamey Erickson and DC Ice: Reaching across the line.
Working within different mediums has always been a little challenging, especially when you start reaching across artistic disciplines. Combining the visions of both a fine art illustrator and an interactive designer was no easy task. Being old college friends, though, brought Jamey Erickson and DC Ice both to the table with an open mind and the willingness to accept the other's skill as something that when embraced properly, could form a truly beautiful piece. Join us as Jamey and DC discuss how they were able to reach across the line collaborating on SinisterButSweet.com.
Jamey Erickson and DC Ice both hail from Southeastern MN and found each other as classmates at the College of Visual Arts in St. Paul. Currently, Jamey is the owner/lead designer at Sevnthsin, a small interactive design agency in Minneapolis, specializing in the creation of engaging online experiences. His clients include Target, The Minnesota Rollergirls, Red Shoe Clothing and Voltage Fashion Amplified. Dawn focuses on her eclectic mix of illustrative painting, constantly creating new pieces, many of which she refers to as a series of 'Happy Accidents" and has been shown in galleries such as Umber Studios, The Fox Gallery, 526 Gallery, Pizza Luce (Downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul) as well as the St. Paul Art Crawl.
